Control's beginnings start in Buffalo, NY 2020. Guitarist, Derek Stoberl and drummer, Jared Albert created the group to start experimenting with writing, composing and recording music. In October 2020, their debut EP Isolation Waves was released; using little more than basic home-recording equipment.

Since then, Control has added Shannon Albert (vocalist), Kyler Ribbing (bassist) and Alex Marino (guitarist) to the group to play their music live. They have a unique live performance, bringing professional-level musicianship to headlining shows at iconic venues in Buffalo such as the Mohawk Place and Mister Goodbar. Control was also one of the participating local acts included at the 2024 charity show for the Guinness World Record 11 Day Power Play; an annual charity event in Buffalo, NY to benefit the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Control's live sets include both original songs and a blend of covers from popular rock artists like Led Zeppelin and Heart to more technical groups such as Rush, Tool, and Sleep Token.

Now their sights are on releasing their first full-band project and continuing to play live shows.
